Founded in 2014, MDLA is a Boston, MA based design firm focused on creating contemporary landscapes for multifamily residential, corporate campus, higher education, retail, and select single family residential projects.
Our design team is composed of nine experienced staff members. We provide permitting assistance through construction administration services for a wide variety of project types.
We work throughout New England and beyond. The firm has worked on dozens of projects in the City of Boston that require Article 80 review and permitting through the BPDA, PIC, and BCDC.

Mike takes an active role in the design and oversight of all projects in the office. His expertise spans complex urban projects to luxury residential and hospitality design. Mike is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

Nicholas Campanelli, Associate Principal
About:
Nick Campanelli is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and brings sixteen years of experience to the firm.
He has a demonstrated history of working nationally in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industries and
carries a strong skill set in project management, site design, campus master planning and graphic design. Nick is also a rising Golf Course Architect having recently completed the renovation and reimagination of Heritage Harbour Golf Club in Bradenton, FL in 2022.

Mike is a graduate of The University of Connecticut and brings thirteen years of experience to the firm. Mike’s background includes national based projects in campus master planning, commercial, multi-family, and institutional site design. As a licensed landscape architect, he brings skills in design, technical detailing, project management, construction observation, and graphic design to the team.

Chris Golden, Senior Project Manager

Chris brings over sixteen years of experience in landscape architecture, working on a wide variety of projects including streetscapes, campuses, urban parks and roof decks. Chris is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
Chris is involved in all aspects and phases of projects, specializing in design development, consultant coordination, drawing production and quality control, and construction observation.
